The Cradle of Forestry in America Interpretive Association (CFAIA) — had a problem…

Their name! With that long of a name, people couldn’t see the forest for the words. In their 40+ year existence as a non-profit, their mission had also expanded well beyond the original purpose to protect, preserve, and educate people about the Cradle of Forestry in America. They needed a new identity that would hold onto their roots in forestry education, but allow them to grow into the future.

We helped them tell the story of where they have been AND where they are going. We worked together to identify their passion, solidify their goals, and unify their driving purpose to reach those goals. The former CFAIA is now FIND Outdoors – Forest Inspired Nature Discovery. The new name tells both who they are AND what they do.

Once the brand identity was established, we were able to develop uniforms, branded merchandise, stationery, signage, and more. Lots more. This brand put quite a few miles on our mousepads.

Since FIND Outdoors manages more than 20 outdoor recreation locations and Visitor Centers, we developed an extensive color palette and type system that allowed us to create individual type lock-ups for each location.

Another array of colors will be used to distinguish annual pass tags across all locations year to year. Each year will have it’s own color so that management can notify rangers across all sites, and rangers can easily glance at a pass to see if it is up to date.
