One major component of this project after the brand was a 3D walk-through experience called Shining a Light on the Life. We designed a built back-lit displays that take participants on a journey through the life of a trafficked victim from various perspectives. Their team wrote the initial copy and we worked with them to develop the story into a life-size experience that they can use at events to take people through this intense journey. After seeing the shadowed figures on each display, the last panel has a mirror and poses the question, what will you do to join the fight?
Working with a tight budget for the display, thrift was a high priority, but we did not want to compromise the end result. So, we ordered LED strips, printed on backlit material, and with a team of volunteers, built the 8×8 foot sections ourselves to save on cost.
The results of this project have been nothing less than life-changing for everyone who goes through this experience.
We also had the opportunity to create a typographic video for the brand launch — introducing viewers to the harsh reality of human trafficking and the hope that Lighthouse for Life brings into that darkness.
